š¹Vulnerable people, this is for you.š¹
Nothing much has changed for someone with Cystic Fibrosis when it comes to hygiene and cleanness and avoiding contact with people, someone with CF has been aware for all of this his/her entire life.
Sanitising our desks at work, clean our phone/keys/pens, avoiding kissing and hugging people (especially people who don't know about our illness), using masks, cleaning the groceries ... anyways, You name it and its 99.9% chance we did that ! What has been mostly difficult, speaking from a personal opinion is the lack of seeing people face to face, and the long time staring at the walls day after day. You can get busy, its true... but bad days do come easily at this moment in time. Avoiding going out is a major thing. Some advice me to go out for a walk but to be honest, I am really not feeling ready. And what is mostly difficult, which I'm sure it's for a lot of people is THE DAY. The Day we get to go out and be safe. I am currently living alone, since my family still had to work. And since they all have human contact it was best for me to isolate myself, alone. It's was not the most difficult decision to make, cause you've got to do - what you've got to do, but it was mentally challenging. Vulnerable people/ people dealing with mental health and elderly will not just deal with the social distancing or the mask itself. It could also be a rollercoaster of emotions, dealing with the: ā”ļøConcern about our health which is the most stressful thought ever. ā”ļøSelf Isolation for longer times than a healthy person. ā”ļøDealing with people who thinks that this is all 'an exaggeration' ā”ļø Could be losing our jobs and not being able to search for new jobs at this point in time. ā”ļøBeing away from our relatives and friends for a long time. We are all in this together, but not everyone is in it for everyone. So Please do keep our vulnerable people in mind and safe. I hope some of you can relate and do not feel alone. ā¤ļø Hang in there. Keep strong. Stay Safe. š¹ #CfinMalta #dealingwithcovid #selfisolation #65roses
